  1. LibreOffice formerly known as OpenOffice, still remains the prime choice when it comes to freeware office suites. I will also suggest you to go get "Kingsoft Office Suite Professional 2012". As far as i am aware free one lacks macro support and doesn't have the ability for opening Office 2007/2010 formats but it can open them without any issues.
